Samuel has been playing music since he was a youngster. He started the violin at 7 years old before concentrating on the accordion.
He won his first prize when he was 12 and at 15 he became the pupil of the great accordionist Tony Fallone. He hoarded up prizes and awards: 1er Prix du Président de la République in 1987, Coupe de France and Prix de la Sacem in 1988…
Then his success spread abroad too. In 1992 came the consecration of the Accordion World Cup at Trossingen in Germany.
Samuel Garcia plays the accordion for the accordion's sake in an ongoing search for quality, with outstanding dexterity but also with a deep respect for the audience… Which is why he is so widely appreciated, by musicians and spectators. His appearances in many radio and television shows bring pleasure to all accordion music lovers.
‘Samuel Garcia plays all styles of music, sometimes serious, sometimes light and breezy, and to quote Gus Viseur, always keeping clear of any "showy affectation"’
