After having most often played music in the classical trio form - piano, string bass, drums (with Franck Aghulon et Gildas Bocklé, Pierre Boussaguet, Bobby Duhram…)- the pianist Vincent Bourgeyx experienced the envy of a most intimist approach of the things. So, he wrote a serie of compositions for solo piano and he dragged off the excellent drummer Karl Jannuska who knows well his approach because he often played in Bourgeyx Trio. The album contains 12 original compositions and a standard arrangement. Vincent Bourgeyx privileged short songs to go straight to the point. His music reflects clearly his personal universe: we comprehend the influence of classical music, romantic and contemporary, but also some jazz movements.
Vincent Bourgeyx tackled on this adventure, with the envy to travel far away, as far as possible. Have a nice trip!
"Soloist or in duo with the rising star Karl Jannuska, Bourgeyx offers here thirteen compositions less a cover, small songs revealing harmonious talents, and a very elegant touch, as onComptine where this duet convinces particularly."

"Actually, it is especially the romanticism which characterizes Vincent Bourgeyx's melodies, and the big flow of his play with the piano offering a very poetic universe, of shadows and lights, sometimes very introspective, sometimes overflowing with energy, with an accompaniment of the left hand overflowing with imagination, a universe which joins those of Michael Nyman and Keith Jarrett."
